On the Double
On the Double is the first podcast on The Muse. The series looks at topics surrounding the Dreyfoos community and the impact certain things have on students and faculty. I picked this particular episode, "Down Under", because it shows how this project evolved from one episode to the next, drawing in listeners while improving the product.
"Energy of Jazz"
"Energy of Jazz" is the first piece I created during the 2021-2022 school year to accompany with the story "The Connectivity & Energy of Jazz". I chose this piece because it was the first time incorporating music obtained from the recording as the main soundtrack. Using that, I was able to use my skills to effectively draw in my audience.
"Art Without an Audience"
"Art Without an Audience" is a piece that I made during my time being ill. I fell sick on the day that the piece was supposed to be filmed. I chose this piece because while certain footage wasn't able to get obtained, I was able to work around problems and incorporate them into the video such as the b-roll during the Part One introduction.
"Voice of a Generation"
"Voice of a Generation"was the first video I created for The Muse. This first piece of the Compendium video series looked at topics that looks at questions and attempts to find an answer or start a conversation. I picked this piece because it show how far I came as a video journalist.
Spirit Week 2022 | Pep Rally
"Spirit Week 2022 | Pep Rally" was a live coverage video that recorded all the dances of the Dreyfoos Pep Rally. This video was the longest one I've edited to date with over 40 minutes of footage to edit. I picked this piece because this shows how I learned to work efficiently under immense time pressure.
Adult in Progress: Credit Cards
"Adult in Progress: Credit Cards" was a part of a video series experimenting with the idea of providing the student body with "adult tips" in a digestible format. The first video focused on credit cards and how they worked. I picked this piece because it shows my branching to other aspects of video production such as motion graphics in Adobe After Effects.
